data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6585=\"6585\"> of a Six Sigma project. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6587=\"6587\"> It is the M in DMAIC. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6589=\"6589\"> Let&#8217;s start with a basic question. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6591=\"6591\"> Why bother doing the Measure phase? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6593=\"6593\"> What is the purpose? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6595=\"6595\"> The Measure phase is to measure the size and scope <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6597=\"6597\"> of the problem or performance gap. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6599=\"6599\"> How big, how bad, how widespread it is. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6601=\"6601\"> Say you are the owner of a pizza chain <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6603=\"6603\"> of 10 restaurants in the local area, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6605=\"6605\"> and your sales have been declining over the past year. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6607=\"6607\"> Initial analysis of the year&#8217;s complaint data <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6609=\"6609\"> shows that 85% of complaints were related to pizza crust. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6611=\"6611\"> So Where would you focus your project? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6613=\"6613\"> Pizza crust, of course. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6615=\"6615\"> Remember in Six Sigma we use the equation <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6617=\"6617\"> y is the function of x, which is y equals f of x. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6619=\"6619\"> In this project, the y is the pizza crust. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6621=\"6621\"> Wouldn&#8217;t you want to know how big and bad <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6623=\"6623\"> the pizza crust problem is? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6625=\"6625\"> And wouldn&#8217;t you want to know how widespread it is? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6627=\"6627\"> For example, is pizza crust problem <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6629=\"6629\"> equally bad across all 10 restaurants? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6631=\"6631\"> Are some worse than others? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6633=\"6633\"> Or is it limited to just one restaurant? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6635=\"6635\"> That is what the Measure phase does, it measures the y. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6637=\"6637\"> The purpose of the Measure phase <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6639=\"6639\"> is to measure the y in y equals f of x. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6641=\"6641\"> What are the stops involved in the Measure phase? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6643=\"6643\"> Before you spend time and resources <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6645=\"6645\"> collecting data and measuring, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6647=\"6647\"> you need to develop a data collection plan. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6649=\"6649\"> That&#8217;s step one. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6651=\"6651\"> To help you know where to collect data, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6653=\"6653\"> you need to understand activity <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6655=\"6655\"> or processes involved that impact pizza crust. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6657=\"6657\"> You need to map the relevant processes. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6659=\"6659\"> That&#8217;s step two. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6661=\"6661\"> Before you start collecting data, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6663=\"6663\"> or using data that has been collected, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6665=\"6665\"> you need to ask, are the measurements valid? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6667=\"6667\"> Were they measured and recorded correctly? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6669=\"6669\"> You need to ensure that a the data <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6671=\"6671\"> and measurement system used is valid. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6673=\"6673\"> That leads us to step three. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6675=\"6675\"> Then and only then can you measure how bad the problem is. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6677=\"6677\"> How bad compared to what? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6679=\"6679\"> How bad compared to requirements, specifications or targets? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6681=\"6681\"> In other words, how well are requirements <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6683=\"6683\"> and customer expectations met? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6685=\"6685\"> How often is it met or not met? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6687=\"6687\"> How widespread is it, and so on. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6689=\"6689\"> Use the collection plan developed earlier <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6691=\"6691\"> to guide you in measuring the y, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6693=\"6693\"> so that all the questions listed on that plan <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6695=\"6695\"> will be answered. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6697=\"6697\"> So step four is, measure the y in y is a function of x. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6699=\"6699\"> In summary, here are the steps in the Measure phase. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6701=\"6701\"> Develop a data collection plan, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6703=\"6703\"> map relevant processes, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6705=\"6705\"> validate the measurement system, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6707=\"6707\"> measure the y. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6709=\"6709\"> Also often, project teams waste time going in circles, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6711=\"6711\"> trying to measure everything in this phase. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6713=\"6713\"> You, on the other hand, will not. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6715=\"6715\"> These steps will help you plan <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6717=\"6717\"> and execute the Measure phase. <\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"transcripts-component__container\">\n<h3 class=\"transcripts-component__title t-16 t-bold\">How to map the current process<\/h3>\n<div class=\"transcripts-component__content t-20 t-light\">\n<div class=\"transcripts-component__lines\">\n<p class=\"transcripts-component__sections t-16 t-16--open t-black--light\"><span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6815=\"6815\"> &#8211; If you have problems getting to work <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6817=\"6817\"> on time in the mornings, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6819=\"6819\"> would it not be useful to understand the activities <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6821=\"6821\"> and sequence of steps that take place each morning? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6823=\"6823\"> In other words, what does your wake up <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6825=\"6825\"> and get to work process look like? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6827=\"6827\"> What you need is a process map. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line transcripts-component__line--active t-black\" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6829=\"6829\"> A process map is a diagram that provides <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6831=\"6831\"> a visual representation of the process flow, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6833=\"6833\"> or sequence of activities, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6835=\"6835\"> or steps that take place in a process from start to finish. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6837=\"6837\"> Here&#8217;s an example of a process map <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6839=\"6839\"> for the Wake-Up-and-Get-to-Work Process. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6841=\"6841\"> Activities or tasks are represented by rectangles, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6843=\"6843\"> decisions are represented by diamonds, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6845=\"6845\"> and the sequence of flow is represented by arrows. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6847=\"6847\"> And start and end points are represented by ovals. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6849=\"6849\"> If you run out of space, connectors shaped as circles <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6851=\"6851\"> can be used to continue to the next page. symbols for process mapping. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6857=\"6857\"> Process maps are very useful in a Six Sigma project. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6859=\"6859\"> During the measure phase we map the current process <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6861=\"6861\"> using a process map. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6863=\"6863\"> This provides the project team, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6865=\"6865\"> and everyone else involved, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6867=\"6867\"> with a visualization and common understanding <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6869=\"6869\"> of what actually happens in the process. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6871=\"6871\"> Think of it as a photographic snapshot <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6873=\"6873\"> of the actual SS process. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6875=\"6875\"> A process map enables you to see and understand the process. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6877=\"6877\"> A picture is worth a thousand words. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6879=\"6879\"> Also, once a current process has been mapped, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6881=\"6881\"> the team will also know what&#8217;s not happening <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6883=\"6883\"> or what&#8217;s different from what should be happening. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6885=\"6885\"> Therein lies the power and benefit <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6887=\"6887\"> of mapping the current SS process. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6889=\"6889\"> In our example, you get a better understanding <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6891=\"6891\"> of what goes on each morning. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6893=\"6893\"> It will help you decide where in the process <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6895=\"6895\"> to collect data and analyze further, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6897=\"6897\"> or it may show immediately where data-ember-action-6901=\"6901\"> to be late for work. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6903=\"6903\"> The process map provides a basis for understanding, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6905=\"6905\"> and further analysis. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6907=\"6907\"> When you map a current process, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6909=\"6909\"> I would recommend the following: <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-6911=\"6911\"> Involve those who work the process, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" this movie, I will discuss how to measure performance <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8003=\"8003\"> in terms of process capability and Sigma level. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8005=\"8005\"> What is process capability? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8007=\"8007\"> Process capability refers to how capable <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8009=\"8009\"> or how well the process performs <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8011=\"8011\"> against it\u2019s target requirements or specifications. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8013=\"8013\"> Most of us have driven into garages <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8015=\"8015\"> with height restrictions, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8017=\"8017\"> where there is a horizontal bar that hangs at the entrance. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8019=\"8019\"> Cars drive right in without slowing down, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8021=\"8021\"> because cars are not tall and are very capable <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8023=\"8023\"> of meeting the maximum height allowed. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8025=\"8025\"> But big trucks or SUVs always slow down at that entrance, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8027=\"8027\"> just to make sure they don\u2019t hit that bar, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8029=\"8029\"> because many are not capable <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8031=\"8031\"> of meeting the maximum height restriction. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8033=\"8033\"> Similarly with any process, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8035=\"8035\"> how capable is the process in meeting specifications? <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8037=\"8037\"> In our delivery example, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8039=\"8039\"> if we plot performance for the past 100 days, <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8041=\"8041\"> it looks like this. <\/span> <span class=\"transcripts-component__line \" data-control-name=\"transcripts_seek_in_video\" data-ember-action=\"\" data-ember-action-8043=\"8043\"> Yes, the average or mean is 23 hours, <\/span> <span
