(who), I want &lt;what&gt; so that &lt;why&gt; (Acceptance Criteria).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a Customer, I want to log in with my facebook profile so that I don&#8217;t have to remember multiple passwords.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>All Users Stories should have each of the following credentials:\u00a0 <strong>INVEST!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>I<\/strong><\/span>ndependent: Can be produced without dependencies on other items not yet completed.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>N<\/strong><\/span>egotiable:<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>V<\/strong><\/span>aluable: Something the customer would be willing to pay for or would find important.\n<ul>\n<li>If it is not Valuable, it should be a Task, Sub-task, or a Requirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>E<\/strong><\/span>stimatable<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>S<\/strong><\/span>ized Appropriately: No bigger\/complex than necessary.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>T<\/strong><\/span>estable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Story Points:<\/h4>\n<p>A unit of measure that defines how difficult or complex a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">User Story<\/span> is.\u00a0 This should something like 1, 3 or 5, or like t-shirt sizes: s, m, l, xl,, xxl.\u00a0 These ratings will be used to determine the project <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Velocity<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Product Backlog:<\/h4>\n<p>An ordered list of all all <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">User Stories<\/span> required to complete the product or project.<\/p>\n<h4>Sprint Backlog:<\/h4>\n<p>The set of Product Backlog items selected to be delivered over a period of time (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sprint<\/span>).<\/p>\n<h4>Velocity<\/h4>\n<p>The number of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Story Points<\/span> the team delivers over a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sprint<\/span>.\u00a0 This will vary early in the project as you are &#8216;guessing&#8217; how much the team can do, but will become more accurate over time by averaging the previous Velocities.<\/p>\n<p>You can only determine the Velocity after a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sprint<\/span> has completed once you have reviewed what you have delivered vs. what you had planned.\u00a0 it is not how much you planned to deliver, but how much you actually delivered in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Story Points<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h4>Swimlanes<\/h4>\n<p>A visual representation of Stories (Y axis) vs. status on the Agile\/Kanban board: To Do, Doing, Done (X axis).\u00a0 Swimlanes let the team see progress on the individual stories, while highlighting specific areas that need attention.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.thomasandsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/jira_agile_quickfilters.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1717\" src=\"http:\/\/wiki.thomasandsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/jira_agile_quickfilters.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"990\" height=\"599\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>MVP (Minimum Viable Product)<\/h4>\n<p>The bare minimum product that meets the client&#8217;s expectations.\u00a0 Includes all must haves and excludes all nice to haves (bells and whistles).\u00a0 This allows the team to deliver quickly and often and itterate and enhance your solution over time.<\/p>\n<h4>Release<\/h4>\n<p>When you move your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">User Stories<\/span> to the Production environment (make them live).\u00a0 Generally, Agile teams make releases to production once a month (every 2 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sprints<\/span>) but you might find some Agile teams releasing to production once every 4 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sprints<\/span>.\u00a0 The Release schedule is for the Agile time to decide, but at the end of the day, Agile is about doing things efficiently and quickly, so the shorter, the better.<\/p>\n<h4>Sprint<\/h4>\n<p>A period of time in which the team will deliver a set of User Stories.\u00a0 This is usually 2 weeks, but can be adaptive as required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Section 5 Resources \u00a0Agile-Cheat-Sheet Definitions User Stories As a &lt;user&gt;
